Worship

Lively Worship
We believe in a passionate, lively worship style that encourages emotion without emotionalism. We use a video projector to display the words of our songs, so you are free to clap your hands, lift them in praise, or worship quietly before the Lord. The emphasis is on each person’s freedom to worship as they desire, tempered with decency and order.
Our worship team consists of:
A worship leader
Backup singers
A keyboard player
A drummer
Electric guitarist and/or bass
Acoustic guitarist

Fellowship

At NCC, we love fellowship. Getting together with other Christians is a great joy and we try to provide many opportunities to do so. Dinners, outings, men's and women's meetings, youth gatherings, or just enjoying coffee and a snack with someone after the church service. Fellowship is encouraged. It is more than socializing, though. Fellowship comes from the Greek word koinonia, which means: to participate with one another, to be social, to help with each other's needs, and to communicate together. We value Christian fellowship.

Sharing our Faith

Jesus taught us to tell others about what we have seen and heard. The gospel of Christ is the good news of salvation. Members of New Covenant Church are encouraged to share what they know about the Lord. Sharing your faith doesn't have to be complicated.

Spiritual Gifts

Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant... 1 Corinthians 12:1

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us... Romans 12:6a

We are a Charismatic church. We believe in the present day function of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the church. We teach about the proper, orderly use of spiritual gifts in the worship service and in the world around us. Many miracles and "signs and wonders" have taken place in the lives of our members. We eagerly accept prayer requests for the sick, hurting, lost, etc. God cares about people; the spiritual gifts He gives to the church are for their benefit.

Church Order

Decency and order
The Apostle Paul taught us that God is a God of order, not confusion. The church service should not be a "free for all". We believe that members of the body of Christ must follow the law of love and consider others before themselves. This is the first rule of order. At NCC we make every attempt to provide an atmosphere of liberty in the use of the gifts of the Spirit while still maintaining order. We want everyone to feel the freedom to "step out" in their gift without feeling like they'll be rebuked if they make a mistake. We are all learning, from the pastors to the newest person in the church. The church is a place were we can all grow. We are family!

Church Accountability

Though we are an autonomous, non-denominational church, we do believe in accountability. Our eldership are members of Ministers Fellowship International. MFI is a growing group of church leaders and churches (over 600) who gather twice annually for teaching, fellowship, prayer and worship. New Covenant Church is also "connected" through relationship with New Testament Church of Massena. Neither MFI nor New Testament Church hold any ruling authority over our church. They do, however, provide invaluable counsel and resources to help us stay in the center of God's will for our fellowship. We are not standing alone!
  • In one God, maker of all things, manifested in the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit
  • In the deity, His pre-existence, His incarnation, His virgin birth, His sinless life, in miracles, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to Heaven, and in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • In the Bible- in it's entirety - to be the inspired Word of God and the only infallible rule of faith and conduct.
  • That the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ by a personal encounter with Him.
  • That the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body, deliverance from evil spirits, and restoration of the total man in answer to believing prayer. (1 Thes. 5:23)
  • In water baptism by immersion for believers according to the Scriptures. (Acts 2:38-39)
  • In the resurrection of the dead, the eternal life of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost.
  • In the baptism of the Holy Spirit, accompanied by the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4) as distinct from the new birth; and in the nine gifts of the Spirit (listed in 1 Corinthians 12) as now available to believers.
  • In the necessity of the local Church to return to New Testament simplicity of each Christian contending for all God has and has yet to restore from His Word and by His Spirit. (Acts 3:21, Eph. 4:11-16, Heb 6:1-2)
  • In storehouse tithing according to the Scriptures (Mal 3:7-12, 1 Cor. 16:2, Matt. 23:23)
  • In the Christian's hope- the imminent personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • In the fellowship of all true Born Again Christians, particularly as a local church with those of like, precious faith, who contend for the purity of the Gospel and God's end time move, unto the fullness of God in Christ. (Eph. 4:3-6)
